Subject: 'Q' club first gathering December 1

Ok folks, there seems to be enough interest in the club idea so I've gone ahead and confirmed a date. I will host the first one at my house in Mississauga to get things started.

The date is Sunday, December 1. The meat of the day will be ribs. Come as early as you want but we will be aiming for a turn-in time of 3:00 PM. followed by judging, a great meal, and presentation of the club trophy to the reigning champion.

Please bring enough meat for judging plus an amount equivalent to what your group will eat, a small cooker and supplies, and one side dish for the meal, preferably in a disposable container. Presentation boxes will be provided, but please bring a head of green leaf lettuce for your garnish. I will set up a prep area, but you may want to bring your own small folding table if you have one.

Please BYOB in a cooler if possible.

If you want to attend please drop me an email to confirm. Please also let me know if:

- You do not have a cooker that's small or portable enough.

- You might have an extra cooker or space in yours if someone needs it.

- You are able to bring a quickshade awning to help cover the cooking area(s).

I'm really excited about this idea. I think we're going to have some fun.

I look forward to hearing from you.
