morning Rob. generaly for the longer cooks people use preburnt briquetts and for the shorter hotter cooks they use lump. both are good but i prefer lump when i can use it. in my WSM i use lump but in the trailer i use preburnt briquetts.

were you live it might be fun to try doing your own lump and see how it goes.
