Hi Gerry...

I am using a meco electric smoker at the present. The temps were warm enough on Saturday so that i could cook in the garage out of the wind. I find that anything under 15 C outside with the wind, the electric doesnt perform too well. I imagine the body's are the same thickness, so the charcoal version will probably have the same problem.

One problen that i did notice with my electric, is that after the first year of use, most of the interior paint flaked off, especially on the dome lid. So now every year i just put a wire wheel on the drill gun and giv'er heck .

Hopefully this helps you out a bit. If you have any more questions... just yelp !

JOHN

ps hopefully spring is now here and I can pull the offset out of the garage to get down to some more sreious business ! LOL
