Subject: Saturday Smoke

Morning all...

With the temperature hovering around 15c this morning, I figured it was a good day to fire up the Meco and christen March with its first smoke. (Actually, the wife gave me a heads-up for todays high temps and suggested the smoke...bless her )

Had 2 Maple Leaf primes brining overnight, filled the waterbath with apple juice, placed some applewood on the coils, and just placed the chix. Seems like apple is the theme of the day. If the temps keep up, they should take about 5 hours to cook, 20 min to rest, 15 min to carve, and 5 min. to eat ! LOL Is it all worth it ? SURE IT IS !!

If these temps keep up, the offset may make its Spring debut soon.

Anybody else doing anything special this weekend ?

JOHN
