I can comment on the egg in all kinds of weather.
To be honest with you it doesn`t matter if its raining, snowing, 100šabove or well below freezing, it'll cook the same.

That is alone the biggest reason for buying mine.
Outside of the temp issue its probably the same as any other upright cooker..but in cold temp, it works great...
