Think of it this way, what would the world be if everyone had dyslexia? A world where everyone is reading and writing things backwards. Take that and imagine to yourself where will you be in this society?
The fact that you are different than most people makes you unique and that is a gift. Next time someone tries to tell you something and you find yourself in a situation where you can�t remember what they told you at the beginning of the conversation, stop them and irritate the hell out of the by saying �sorry, could you please just tell me the point of this conversation� and demand the facts in short sentences. Most non unique people like to tell a story with everything that they are trying to say and this is what makes your mind drift off in another direction. Give them the task of simplifying the conversation before you try and remember there complicated story.
