Hi i read your letter and it identifies the same problems im having with my daughters high school. The teachers just want you to fail and think your think. My daughter has always wanted to go into hairdressing but one teacher turned round to her and said forget that your not clever enough !!!!well i just cant believe the negativity of these teachers .i was told in junior school they would sort her out and get her statemented and now find that from head teacher that she wont be statemented and she gets 3 half hout reading sessions a eweek.I just feel How are all these people with dyslexia (my daughter included)going to get anywhere in life with teachers attitudes like the one who told her to forget hairdressing basically your too thick to do that and not clever.!!!
Does make me soooo angry that teachers have the right to say these things as this has effected my daughter badly as thats all she wants to do.
