My son is a senior Physics Major with severe dyslexia. Cry me a river! Make sure your get testing in HS to take the ACT and SAT with extended time. When you go to freshman orientation meet with Special Services for Students (or whatever it is called) You will probably be granted accommodations. My son gets extended time on tests, note-taking and Voice to Text program. He only likes to use the extended time, and with email we can help with his editing of papers. This is the kid who could never learn his multiplication tables, and reads below level, but somehow got an inspiring HS Physics teacher that showed him his talents. He goes to a public 4 yr college, and they follow the law. We do not pay extra for services. He would be miserable in a college just for dyslexics. He had language arts therapy using a type of Orton based program when he was younger. Hang in there!
