Dear Friend, I am a learning disability specialist for vr for the state of NH. That means I tutor and teach Adults with mild Learning Disabilities. Also I have the "gift of
dyslexia" Myself. Recently my only son told me he also shares this gift. I meet presently with only one student
I plan to share this e-mail with her and it is my hope she and someday my son will also contact you. My student is 24 has held a dyslexia dx since 10 or 12 years of age. She is and her family are aggessive in asking for help. Recently
thinking she maybe suffering dyspracia also she was tested
by am MD and we find she is also Adhd. She is providing a great deal of information into a second learning disability. We are also working on setting-up a dyslexic
support group in Southern NH first. The goal of such is to provide a supportive environment for dyslexic people of all ages plus to educate anyone Parents, teachers,College
professors who will listen about people with LDS. We want
simple equal rights equal say. It has been my experience and my observation that we are discriminated on the basis of our "different ability". I no longer see dyslexia as a learning disability and I see my self as "differently abilied" hope to talk soon best wishes thanks Mrs. L
