Hi

I too have quite bad dyscalulia, but am currently in the second year of a Cert Ed course. You may already be aware of this, having done your fine art course, but you can usually apply for Disability Students Allowance for various courses and get help with things like book purchases, photocopying costs and various bits of equipment (e.g. computers, scanners, specialist dyslexia software etc). My advice to you is not to let your dyslexia or dyscalculia put you off of applying. Speak to the tutors on the course, and I'm sure that they will be happy to help you and give you any extra support you may require regarding literacy and numeracy. It would be a terrible shame to lose out when you know you will make a good teacher! Good luck!
