Try reading for a chapter and making notes. these notes may be about whats in the chapter or some personal comments. personally i tend to draw pictures on my notepads so that i remember the key points. the aim of making notes is to reinforce what you are reading and for memory. i totally understand because without my notes im useless at remembering what i have read. If you are reading your own textbooks then make notes in the margins, underline key words or highlight. try experimenting with key word or picture and find out what you remember the most. also read in small sections like a chapter then go for a walk. the more i try to concentrate on my books - the more frustrated i get and the less i learn. hope this helps.
