Some ideas that have worked with my students are:
1. Draw a calendar and mark the essay deadlines on it in different colours. This becomes a colour code.
2. Don't panic!

3. Work out which are the most important essays to work on. Use the colour code to mark which essays you will work on each day.

4. You may need to take this calendar to a sympathetic tutor/learner support/friend who can help you plan your time. (You will get better at this with practise and support)

5.For each essay look at the titles and make a plan of the main points you want to cover.

6. Ask fellow students or tutors to direct you to the most important texts.

7.When you read, use coloured index post-its to mark the important points - only reread these points.

8. When you write, leave the introduction until later if you can't get started.Put down notes about each main point. Turn these notes into sentences later.

9. Consider making a complaint about the Assessor.
