Subject: Revising essays

I've been working for some time with a dyslexic student who has made a lot of progress in many areas of his English study. However, his major trouble is with revision - he reads back what he thinks he wrote when composing sentences and essays, and doesn't notice his mistakes. If pointed out to him, he can correct them at once, and when tested on spelling words alone, he manages very well. As he reaches his later years of schooling, this is becoming more of a problem when in exam situations.
I'd love to hear any suggestions anyone could offer for helping him in this.

Many thanks, Kim
