My son who is severely dyslexic and had to have intensive language therapy during elementary school in order to grasp reading and writing English was required to take 2 years of Spanish by his private high school. I did have a friend who was a Spanish teacher and she tutored him ocassionally but what really made a difference was taking his exams orally instead of written. If you don't need to write the language for your missionary work and only need to speak it you should have an easier time of it. My son would score an F on a written exam and then take it orally and make an A. Dyslexia is mostly a written language disability. Good luck!
