The searats rode up alongside the ship and boarded. Yelling warcries and brandishing weapons, they jumped on the otter crew, who were vastly outnumbered. They had few weapons but they fought bravely. The searat captin led the charge and he killed the first creature he could reach. This was Riaw's mom. Chaos insued and during the meele, Riaw's dad grabbed him and they escaped by the ships longboat. In the distance they could see the ship, now burning.
I wonder where we'll go mused Riaw's dad as he rocked the baby and rowed...
