Twixt moon and stars the sky hath darkened,
The moon doesn�t give its light.
Though in the darkness one shall not see,
The villains creep tonight.

They climb far up the abbey wall,
To enter in their might.
The gatekeeper is fast asleep,
He will not be able to fight.

Over the wall the hoard does come,
Down onto the abbey grounds.
The dibbuns, though, are wide awake,
For the villains, they have found.

They rush around in their quiet way,
Waking all the elders.
The grown-ups search for their weapons,
But after waking, in a blur.

The elders rush onto the grounds,
Fighting valiantly.
The rodent hoard retreated back,
Yelling loudly.

The abbey now is safe once more,
All because of the dibbuns.
And that is the end of the tale,
Though you�ve heard some more real ones.
