One summer night the shores of Salamandastron were peacfull and relaxing,the only thing that could be heard besides the waves crashing on the shore was the two voices of Lord Bayan Bloodpaw and Captain Redmond Jem.
" But sir, I don't mean to be persistent but how could we make this...catapalt as you call it, what would we use to pull the arm back to launch the boulder, it just would not work." The captian said.
"You just don't get it do you Redmond" the badger ruler said. " We use the rope I made. Here I'll tell you again, first I made a loop out of a short peice of rope then I used that interesting seawead that the seals gave me and made a another loop but through the first one and so on." Jem's eye's started to widen. "Well it turnes out."The bager Lord continued. "That when I repeted the prosess that it becaume a strechy rope!"
"I still don't know sir it still seams far feched, but since you say so I believe you."
"You better have Captain or your going back down to the pottscrubber you were when I came." The capitain stopped and stood stiffly and saluted.
" Yes sa! Believe you or be reduced ounce again!"
Both ruler and capitains started to chuckle and started back to the great fortress of Salamandastron.
The next morning Percy Delane was up rather early, so he decided to go and get an untimely breakfast. Strolling down the corridors of Salamadastron he took into mind that it was awfully quiet, he figured that everyone was still asleep.
That was when he heard and felt it, it sounded and felt like a rumble. Of course not! it wasn't a rumble! How could it be a rumble! He thoght to himself. He kept on walking, thinking it was his still being drowsy. So he splashed his face with some water at the bucket washpan outside of the dinning hall and strolled over to the kitchen. Ounce he got in he found that one other beast was awake. It was Delum the cook."Hmmm, my my that smells good."
"Good morning Percy!" Delum said happily. (Percy and Delum had been good freinds since Dibbun hood).
"So, what are ye flip'n up today me jolly old messmate, wot wot!"
Delum responded likely maner,"Well I'm Flip'n up some apple, cherry and rhubarb turnovers and oatmeal 'n honey with greensap milk. How does that sound wot."
"Flipp'n marvelous old chap! My favorite!"
"And so was yesterdays breakfast and the day before that." Delum mumbled.
"What's that old chap?" Percy asked while biting into one of the turnovers.
"Oh, I said yesterdays meal was horrible and infelicitous."
"Right you are old bean, right you a- owowowowow!" Percy screamed running out of the kitchen while being hit by Delum by two big oak spoons.
"And stay out, ye rotten excuse for a hare! Hares just are not the same anymore, Ahh well." Delum went back to work but stopped suddenly, was that a rumble he just felt? Of course not, it just be a rock rolling down the side of the mountain... or was it?
