In crime and punishment we have many selfish and unselfish people one in particular is the main character Rasko. Eventhough he has killed two people in a dual murder he still has a heart under it all. Numerous times he has given people his last dime even when he is hungary or needs it just as bad as they do. In a sense this foolish because he is poor and is in no economic position to be throwing away money. I guess he gives away money to compensate for the murders he has commited.
