God didn't write the dictionary. Man did. So you're forming your opinion of God based on man's opinion, more specifically, the people who edited that dictionary. I listen ONLY to what God says about Himself.

If you are looking for God through scientific data, such as physical proof, sure, you'll find lots of evidence pointing toward creation and events in the Bible, but that's it. If that is the only way you will allow yourself to believe in God, you will be disappointed. I cannot stress strongly enough that eternal life comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Blessed are those who have not seen, yet believe.

That's what you believe, and that's what lots of people believe. But I know it's not true, and so many others know it's not true. Those who know God have allowed His divine intervention in their lives. If you willingly choose to reject God, then yes, you'll remain one of the many who believe God is just a concept of man recorded in an ancient text. God gives you that choice.

That makes no difference. The Church taught the concept of an geocentric universe. Even though they were wrong, the thought had some merit, since God did create the Earth as a special, unique place in all the universe on which he would create life. But regardless, the earth and heavens are wonderful examples of His handiwork, and that hasn't changed since creation.

The result of giving your life to Jesus is anything but lies and ignorance of the truth. If you allow God into your heart, and listen to his word with an open mind, the results of doing so will become wonderfully clear.

Both to an extent. I accepted the theory of evolution because I was fascinated by earth science, and because I didn't entirely believe in the God of the Bible. I knew a higher authority might exist, but because evolution was taught as science in school, I accepted it as the most plausible reason for our existence. But my open mind about God is what made a difference; I never ruled Him out completely. I just figured He'd eventually fit into the picture somehow, and if I was a good person, He'd grant me life after death if it actually existed.
But the more I studied the evidence for creation, which, of course, worked against evolution, my fascination grew to a new height. As I studied creationism, I was also being taught God's word, because therein lies so many answers and explanations of life in general. I never realized just how fundamental the Bible is until I willfully started hearing it. When I realized how much sense it was all making, but still with so many questions unanswered, I took the leap of faith and asked Jesus to come into my heart and be my savior.
I now see God manifested in the works, words, and deeds of others unlike anything I have ever experienced before, and every day, God's word touches my heart in new ways. I keep my mind fully open to the word of the Lord, and would have it no other way.

My scientific mind is what allowed evidence for creation to fascinate me. My knowledge of a six day creation comes from the creator Himself. There is physical evidence of the universe being young, but none that I know of that points to a six-day creation.

All men, including those who wrote the books of the Bible, were sinners. There's no denying that. But it is God whose words are written there.
I think a lot of skeptics are afraid to accept Christ because it will mean having to give up their old lives. Well, that's true to an extent. A Christian must do his best to live according to the word of God, but that doesn't mean giving up all of possessions and stopping the advance of science. I love science! And I run a successful company.
When it comes to letting go all of my sins from my past, I am a work in progress. I'd love to say "I HAVE CAST AWAY ALL EVIL THOUGHTS AND DEEDS!" but that would not be entirely true, and I will not lie to you. I have changed, but I am not guiltess in my living. I repent of my sins, and I know I am saved through the grace and mercy of the Lord.

There's no question about that. Today's technology is awesome. But the word of God never changes. Let's use our technology to help those who need it, physically and/or spiritually.
