I apologize for my absence from the board. My dad passed away this week and we just laid him to rest.

I realize that no matter what we present to each other on this board to support our beliefs, we may never see the same side of the coin. Our conversations are starting to go around in circles. I know from scripture that I, as a man, do not and never will have the divine power to change a non-believer's heart. I did what I could by presenting the knowledge of the Lord to you. The next step is up to you.

I know, without a doubt in my mind, that my dad is safe in the arms of Jesus. His faith was steadfast. One day we, the faithful family, will see him again. There is a comfort and peace that comes with faith in Christ, but it's not a false hope. It is a real promise fulfilled by an almighty, loving creator. Although I respect you for your opinions and think nothing less of you because of what you believe in, my sincerest hope for you is that someday you will come to know the comfort and peace that comes in fellowship with the Lord.
