Curses!@#$ I just typed what I thought was a newsy note to you two and then before I sent it off on the internet I lost it. Oh well - if at first you dont succeed etc., so here I go again!

Love your descriptive epilogues! We enjoy reading and re-reading them. I know Loyd often had his 'Lord of the Rings' books with him when he came for a visit & will be enjoying your descriptions.

Gram is having the quarterly PJ Party here this Tues/Wed, May 6/7 to celebrate the other 3 gals May birthdays. As your dad would say "A lot of famous people have May birthdays.". Plan to serve chocolate cake with your favourite strawberry whip dressing - yum (Ihope).

Saturday, May 10 an old Ft. St. John friend, Edna Jenkins, comes to visit for a couple of days before joining her son Colin and wife at their summer place in the San Juan Islands. Colin and Nancy used to play together when we were neighbors.

Gram Penny is going on an exciting trip all the way to Winnipeg, Manitoba for the Canadian Unitarian Council's AGM. Auntie Florence is also coming and Frank and Ted are going to try and survive for the week here at our place. We leave May 14 for one week. We will have a couple of extra days to see what Winnipeg has to offer. Manitoba is in to Provincial Election mode and I understand the present NDP Govt under Gary Doer has a very good chance to be re-elected - hurrah!

Autumn leaves mid May for her job as assistant cook at a tree-planting camp. Sounds like she is in for quite an experience. She will be barged and helicoptered in from Fort Nelson and the Chief cook has assured her that he has requested an electric bear proof fence to keep the grizzlies out! Lots of mosquitoes too, to make life comfortable!

G. & G. had a great visit with Erin and Liam last Thursday. Liam certainly responds to you now.

Have been trying to get a message to John Wilford in Brisbane and hopefully, with Lynne's help will do so before you arrive. I keep getting my e-mail returned as undeliverable.
