Subject: You have (almost) a new home!

Hi girls:

We were so excited to see you on the webcam!!!!! That was the highlight of our weekend - and we told 'everyone' that we saw our girls on the weekend. I hope you picked up on the hugs and kisses we sent back to you, as you were waving to us???

Yesterday we bought a new (old - 1970's) townhouse! A south facing one finally came up in the Gordon Head townhouse complex - unfortunately, not an end one, - but those townhouses don't seem to come onto the market very often. This is the first south facing one in over a year.

There were four people bidding on it, but we got it, for just$7,000. over the asking price. So, we got it for $195,000. A year ago, it would have gone for $175,000., but, that's life.

So, it will be just a five minute walk to UVic. It is very similar to our present townhouse, except the basement is not yet developed at all. We plan to do that pronto, probably before we move in, cause that's where a lot of stuff has to go. We take possession very soon, - end of May, - so will have some time to work on it before we actually have to leave here.

These are the townhouses with the swimming pool, and rec room, so that will be nice, eh? (I'm Canadian!!) There are patio doors off the kitchen to a small deck - which has a nice outlook to the south. There are also patio doors on the other side, looking out to the very large green area in the centre of the whole complex. I think it will be nice and bright. I'm very relieved to finally be able to stop looking!!! and instead, start planning.
