>Hi to you both:

Hi Mommoo! Thanks so much for the nice long post, I'm so excited to recieve it!!

It's just Nomi here now, because Sarah is off at work earning tons of money! Yesterday we found out that we were both scheduled to have the day off today. I went and asked if I could be put on standby to work. Five minutes later Sarah went and asked the same thing.

The guy to Sarah:"Did you know your sister is working now?" Sarah: "No, where?"
The Guy: "at the chili place"
Sarah: "Uh... that's not such a good idea. She got sick last time"

So Sarah got the job at the chili place for today instead! It was funny because when I went into the office to see what was taking her so long, Lance told me that I'd been fired. I thought he meant from my tomato job and got all scared, but he was just being mean and joking about the chilis.

I just found out today that I can get free internet at the library! I've got an hour to use, which would normally cost me $5. It's a little slow, but it's free! I realized when I came here that I miss hanging out at the library. While I was waiting for my turn on the computer I was walking around reading books and magazines. There are some interesting looking non-fiction books I'd like to read!

Must be exciting for you knowing that your two months of freedom are right around the corner! And this summer you don't have any bratty kids at home to take care of... hehe... I guess the moving is going to be a lot of work though. Sounds like the weather there are here is pretty similar right now. I think it's hotter than 25 out today, but it was cooler last week. The past 4 days or so have been really humid, it's caused me to develop a stupid ichy rash on my neck and back. I kept waking myself up the night before last scratching it! I got some antihistamines at the drug store though, and they seem to be helping.

Must be so frustrating for you when some kids don't make much improvement... but I'm sure the happiness you get from the ones who do improve a lot makes up for it! Sounds like your job can be simultaneously really frustrating and really satisfying. You're helping these kids have a better life!

awww, too bad it didn't have a living room. I'm sure something else good will be found! How long do you think it'll take for them to get off the waiting list for the government assisting housing?

I want to help paint, painting is fun! Especially when I write things on the ceiling with paint before we paint it... hehe. I get the place will look quite classy by the time I get home :)

Phew, that sounds like hard work! Glad the worst is over with though.

We did have a picnic at the botanical gardens the Sunday before last. We're unfortunately not getting to see too many things because of a few factors. We're usually working during the day, we don't have much trasportation, and we don't always get days off together. I think we might get Sunday off together this week though, so maybe we can do something. I picked up a bus schedule at the visitor info centre today, and apparently there are busses that go out to the beaches.

Oh yeah, I forgot about those bonds! I feel like it would be so soon if we cashed them already. I think we're going to work for 4 weeks or so and then take stock of our cash situation. Did we have $200 each?

hehehe, Loyd is such a trickster!! That's great that he's making the effort to learn the language before going :) Happy birthday Erik!!

Yesterday I went shopping and spent a total of $5 on two t-shirts and the game "scattegories". There are so many thrift stores in this town because of all the churches! We're still having good times with scrabble, but keep forgetting to figure out our word for our online scrabble game. I'd do it now Diggie, but I think I'd get in trouble with Sarah if I did it without her ;)

A couple nights ago Sarah and I made a yummy stir fry, but had to wait very hungrily for about an hour before we could get at the stove. I think I might make another one this afternoon for us to eat at dinner time, that way I can beat the rush!

That's all from Bundeberg for now.

Love Love!!!

From Nomi
