Subject: Gramps Birthday etc.

I must say we are learning quite a bit more about the part of the world you are exploring and we are fascinated. I imagine you took the train up to Chaing Mai. You accommodation sounds like a dream compared to anything in these parts.

Gramps turns 84 tomorrow, March 3 and I believe I mentioned his half sister Laura is flying in from Calgary tomorrow morning 8:30 a.m. You probably remember us staying with Laura and Hans on our way to that South Dakota Elderhostel with Autumn. This will be the first time since then that we have seen her. The family will be here for dinner and have an opportunity to meet this relative. Laura is the one who has done an extensive geneology search and printed a book about it.

We had a great (but shorty) visit with Liam, Erin and Nancy today. We looked at the facialities at my Senior Centre in Brentwood Bay and decided to hold the "Welcome Liam Party" there. I believe Erin and Nathan have invited about 20 people (mostly relatives. It will be a potluck and I am eagerly looking forward to it. Wish you could pop in.

Love reading about your exploits!!

X's and hugs G. G. Penny & Ted
