Subject: Fun in the Sun... *sigh*

Did you know that up to 90% of all Canadians are vitamin D deficient in winter from lack of sunlight? I think I must be one of them, but you guys have nothing to worry about, and soon Mom and Dad will be in sunny San Diego, leaving me as the only candidate for rickets. I'm jealous... But luckily I have my own Little Sunshine here to keep me smiling.

Liam is a cutey cute! We discovered that he likes to be swung up and down by his arms; it makes him come as close to laughing as we've heard him yet! Nathan and I took some video of it on the same tape as his welcoming party, which you guys can watch when you get home.

The party, as you've heard, was really nice. Everybody had such nice things to say about Liam and about us, and such nice wishes for his future. (You guys should send me your wishes for him, so I can include them in the scrapbook.) I made nice placeholders for everyone with an excerpt from a poem by Wordsworth. Liam was a very good boy and sat patiently for a good while as people held him, talked about him and took his picture, but finally he got tired and went to bed. Then the rest of us had our dinner.

That night, I found out Dave and Marcie are going to have another baby. Wild, eh? When Nathan told me that, I thought he was joking at first, but it's true. I can't wait to meet him or her. It's strange to think that by the time their baby comes, Liam will already be a bout a year old. I can't beleive how fast he is growing!

Anyways, speaking of Liam, he is telling me he feels a bit neglected at the moment so I'd better go cuddle him for a bit. I love and miss both you guys so much, and I'm really glad you're having such a great time! The place you are staying sounds amazing; in fact it sounds exactly like the place Caleb stayed. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same place, in fact. Are there monkies around your beach, by chance?
