Hi Lynne!

That's so funny that it rained in the Bay of Islands for you and mom too... especially since it is supposed to be the place in NZ with the least amount of rain! We took our picture near the giant sign post at Cape Rianga. Sarah said she saw a picture of you and mom near that, and we wanted to try and get the same picture... it's so cool following in your footsteps! :) We also stayed in Paihia while at the Bay of Islands.

I'm not really too familiar with Contiki, but the way Kiwi Experience works is you buy a bus pass to tour along a certain route with predefined stops. There is a minimum time for the trip (ie our bus trip is minimun 21 days). The great thing is you can get off your bus at any place along the way and stay as long as you like, before hopping back on to another bus. The bus also stops at neat attractions and scenic points between towns. They book your hostels for you so you don't have to worry about it, and also help you out in booking into different "Activities" along the way. It makes things really easy, and the fact that you can get on and off as you like is great :)

In case you didn't see it in my other post, we should be arriving in Brisbane on May 6th!

Talk to you soon :)

-Naomi
