Subject: Hi ERG's financials expected March 6th.
Comments:

Hi Brenton, for brevity, the writedowns occurred in the prior financial period, which is the 30/6/2001 to the 30/6/2002 as reported on the 12/9 audited the 1/10.
A number of improvements post June 30th 2002--progressively better March 2003 view on fundamentals in estimation. It will report the period 30/6/2002 to the 31/12/2002.
--------------------------------------------------
The above is a view, stronger 2nd half as many projects such as Sydney ramp up, thats on the installations side, then you have the longer term recurring revenues from the systems once they are installed, ie the multi application and interopereable aspects of the card, much of that side is linked to things in past accounts that have been written down and can be recovered.
--------------------------------------------------
Equity accounting side, anything is possible there, re PCL 47.1%, Delloite ratified 28/11/02 (head auditor) are doing it. (whatever happens in that regard can only be a positive not a negative--re carrying values, legal relationships are changing through time, ie j/v structures.)(licence fee's what not deferred not disallowed.)
--------------------------------------------------
All of the bulltwang that may or may not happen aside though, it is attractive on the basis that the writedowns are in the prior period.
--------------------------------------------------
Regards,--WW.
