Subject: Leagues for U13 to U16

 I am presently discussing setting up a league structure for these age groups for either 2003/04 or possibly 2004/05 season. This is modelled on the successful Colts leagues. The aim would be leagues of 6 or 7 teams 14 meaning 12 or 14 home and away games in the season. It might mean more travelling unless we run it in various conferences with play offs at the end of the season. Leagues will be seeded such that teams are more evenly matched.
Would this result in more players turning out than for friendlies?
Does anyone have any other views or comments?
