By the end of their arcs (or episodes) Jurgen, Rene, and Davenport are all dead.

Which means you have to set the m/m in the ep or arc, which is difficult as they are very busy arcs in which all kinds of stuff is going on, or before it. Or make it AU.

I dunno - but, and I'm totally typing as the thought occurs to me - I think there may have to be the strong believability of canon!verse m/m before it really gets off ground.

Because the bits of Jurgen/Michael and Davenport/Michael that I remember being written, were written during the airing of the arcs - while the future for Jurgen and Davenport was still open ended and you could project those ten minutes into the future when Michael finally either got over/admitted he was playing Nikita and the field was open. It was when their future closed, at very specific points, that they became guest stars in AU HR fic.
