I'm very eclectic in my fanfic reading tastes. I'll give just about any story and/or author a fair chance. There are about four or five fandoms in which I read (LFN being chief among those...Grin~). I'm not opposed to trying out other fandoms. It's just a matter of having the time to read in more than my favorite fandoms. There isn't anything that I totally rule out, but I don't actively seek out slash or XXX-rated stuff, but being the fanfic slut (Thanks, Athena, for that description of me. LOL!) that I am, I have enjoyed some of those types of stories...because for me, the story is the thing. Sometimes, I know within a couple of sentences whether or not I'll continue reading something. Sometimes, it takes a chapter or two before I throw up my hands and give up on a story. It just depends on the story and/or the author. There are a couple of authors that I just can't read...

Squicks? Violent or nasty sex, sexual gymnastics or anatomy lessons and gratuitous sex with no romance or at least some emotional content.

I prefer romantic relationships which leave most of the love scenes to the imagination. I'm almost old enough to remember those waves crashing on the shore and washing over Deborah Kerr and Burt Lancaster in From Here to Eternity. Thank goodness for videos! LOL!! Being the DOM that I am, I do love Michael-based stories, but I do sometimes read TR, and sometimes (GASP!!) the Nikita-with-someone-else stories. These stories just have to grab my attention and be well-written, but that's just me...
