I've been dipping into the archives recently (avoiding doing work!) and have been thinking about the difference in works written fairly early in the series, and stories that come from later in the life of the program. I think it might be interesting to read someone who wrote pretty early on, and perhaps include that element in our discussions. I'd suggest someone like Alyssandra, in part because I just reread some of her work (being at the beginning of the alphabet!), and it jumpstarted some of my thoughts about the topic.
