Hoping to find out something next week or the week after - the wheels of the academy are painfully slow. I know that the search and screen made a favorable recommendation and that the executive committee should also make a favorable recommendation (although that has not been formalized yet - so until it's done - it's not done).

Cons?
*me on a tenure track
*new stressors and work frustrations (but perhaps more of a sense of control since I feel the administrative support to be quite different than at CUW)
*parking
*me on a tenure track.....
*depending on the decisions of other faculty interviewing - perhaps starting over/solo and not having the comraderie of a group I know

the unknown is just that - so always wonder if one is stepping out of the frying pan and into the fire.

morale at the office is really bad though - my teaching has suffered which is to say my students are being affected. that's not ok.

gdz wonderfully supportive and i think in some ways excited about the change - and i vascillate although lean more towards excited than scared.

hope to know soon
