Never heard either of these stories pjk. Would you want to re-tell? Agree with t - you should start putting these down if for nothing else then to have stories for your son to share with his children, and his children's children. One of my most loved treasures are the letters to 'home' (norway) that my grandmother found back in norway at our family's home from the first generation immigrants. she translated and put together a book for each of her grandkids with copies of the originals, plus photos of who they are from. the story of my great-great-great uncle peter who fell asleep in the graveyard on a drinking binge and allegedly was scared straight is a riot.... who knows the truth, but it's what he told his mother back in the old country.
