geo does some real back breaking work that weekend (usually he's the splitter/hauler - can't let a city boy near the chain saw)
what he doesn't tell is that Aggie cooks for days before they get there and the abundance is staggering - 'farm' cooking
the cover is ideal for birds (has become a training ground for our city dog - Bob has it as his personal mission to make sure our English Setter actually knows the difference between a pigeon and a pheasant!)
we head up for some pretty remarkable long weekends (skiing, hunting, apple festivals complete with home grown polka bands) - Aggie has become the 3rd gramma in our family.
geo and I try to make sure her propane is full every fall - she's 80+ and with 3 knee replacements (one twice) she still heads to the basement to stoke the fires.
