I know it's tired, but I really don't want to vote for either candidate. Partisan assaults rather than true discourse tends to halt my attention - I just don't have the patience.

I will vote tomorrow for Kerry. I don't like his allegience to unions and lawyers because I don't share their agendas. I don't like his general belief the government is the solution (e.g. healthcare). He is more liberal than I care for, and some of it seems just plain partisan rather than conviction.

I don't like Bush's allegience to right wing religion. I don't like Carl Rove. I can't say the war in Iraq was the wrong decision, but we sure seem to have made some bad choices in executing it. I think someone high up should have resigned over the prisoner abuse - to fully communicate our appall. (I find Rumsfeld's treatment of the press amusing, but I think he should have fallen on the sword on this one.) I realize if Bush or anyone in the administration would ever admit a mistake it would be replayed ad naseum, but I don't like the refusal to take responsibility. I don't like the deficits we are amassing - I think we should be more fiscally responsible. I don't know how you can address social security with privatization without talking about spending cuts or tax increases. I tend to be wary of mixing federal money with private religious groups.

I will vote for Kerry because he is closer to my social views. As pjk mentioned with regard to science, I support and appreciate the advancement of our knowledge and abilities without partisanship, and I think a Kerry administration will be more in line with my view. This most definitely includes stem cell research. Evolution is not a lie, and I can't prove it. I think Kerry will appoint more moderate judges to the SC.

I think either one will make mistakes. I think both are capable men, and I wish them both well in whatever their futures bring.
