not that i have much optimism to really discuss this intellectually but i would say posting this from josh marshall is the equivalent of me posting portions of rush limbaugh's speech to the American Enterprise Institute.

i guess we all have our biases. and one of mine is that josh marshall is a soros supported pajama-wearing conspiracist blogger with an inflated league of fans who need someone to tell them what to think and read.

but it's a good post even though both he and pjk can't resist dividing the nation with their pointing out of "iRONy" [Re: America's moral bedrock] and inferred accusations of hypocrisy. how do you know that the 43% [or whatever the number] who voted for the democrats in LA aren't the immoral welfare cheats? more importantly, how does generalizing red/blue help the democrats in '08?

the election was not won or lost on issues of morality, in my view. that's the talking point sourgrape drink of the losing side and will be a stew of discontent for years to come.

a mayor in san francisco and a judge in mass. did a lot to lose the election for the democrats in my view. it's an issue of Law not morality. [Contrary to the democrat talking point that says: republicans Hate Gays]

i highly recommend reading the 30 page piece by walter russel meade, a leading scholar respected worldwide for his views. i suspect josh marshall has read it and refers to it without referring to it.

i for one have great pride in our nation and that includes the much maligned and disparaged Jacksonian Rustics, of which i am one! afterall, i have the most direct link to the pure Blue Collar [on the voy].
