ranch - in Tosa (same schools). 3 bedroom, 3 bath, great room plus family room, kitchen/dining on 1 1/2 acres. Lannonstone, built 1953. Thought it would be wonderful. Geo and I have been concerned for awhile now that a 2 story is really not going to work as Danny continues to get older - but we're in no rush to move.

Miserable excuse for carpentry - not a plaster wall in the house. No basement under at least 1/2 the house - and what was there had water damage. Cheap excuse for hardwood floors (no real wood), kitchen cabinets so shabby they wouldn't support my mixer (not kidding - although the mixer is pretty heavy).

Asking price? $449,000 (out of our price range, but I was hoping that maybe.... who knows, right?). Not sure who thought that was reasonable - but I can't even begin to imagine it worth 1/2 that amount. It needs gutting - tens of thousands in upgrades, and then my guess is that you'd find such poor construction and so little up to code that you'd need to raze the thing.

No forced air (which means no air conditioning - a bit of an issue with Dan and his meds since he doesn't sweat real well)-- worse though? Only 2 windows in the main rooms/kitchen actually open to the outside! One in each bedroom opens up. There is no ventilation in the house. Stains on the ceiling in the Master bedroom, with no attic - the roof is an issue.

One bath with cute pink/grey tile like we have with electric green sink, tub, toilet. I think the fixtures alone would cause Danny to have seizures.
