hi Krz, thanks for your thoughtful questions. I agree with the irony here....how was Iraq supposed to be 'developed and democratized"....through the Oil for food program?

>What do you all think, is there a means, or is time
>the means to this end?

I truly think that time

(with much needed communication of details as seen in this ny times article this am http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/08/politics/08strategy.html?ei=5006&en=1af532182900f600&ex=1097812800&partner=ALTAVISTA1&pagewanted=print&position=)

is the only option we have.

I am very frightened by the prospect of our focus turning towards leaving rather than the focus "staying the course" on the democratization and security of Iraq.

If we think terrorism has placed us in a tremulous state now...., if we are demoralized by the number of Iraqis killed in the last several months....what does the future hold if we abandon?

My main concern with Kerry...his conundrum of not supporting the war/(I certainly don't hold this against him in the context of his ethics) not supporting Allawi etc.... this could severely erode any progress.....and in the context of this war (no matter how much a citizen may have disagreed with it, it is our reality(Which I know infuriates our anti-war sisters even more because it can't go away as in a dream).... whomever wins this election will have to deal with this as the number one issue.
