WHAT A GREAT SITE, BROUGHT BACK SO MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES, THE HAPPIEST IN MY LIFE. I LOVE SEEING ALL THE PICTURES, AM AMAZED AT THE CHANGES.
I WAS BORN IN GARSTON 1930, BUT NO A LOT ABOUT THE OLD GARSTON, AND SPEKE, BOTH PLACES I SPENT MANY HAPPY HOURS IN.

hi joanne, just read your message. I lived in Speke, but married a girl from Garston, 36 years ago and she is still putting up with me. Stern stuff Garston women. She lived in Stanley Street just off Window Lane. Her name was Barbara Kinsey, has a brother George, (milkman) mother was called Hilda and dad was Bill, (used to breed buggies). I remember the first time we went into the Mariners, we got locked in. The pub is still there. Got married at St Michaels, just under the bridge. Used to have to get the last bus home form outside "The Baths".Do you remember Taylors chipy the best chease squares on the south side. Love to hear from you and remember.

fanx

dave
