I too went to St Christopher's in fact I lived on Tarbock Road exactly opposite the school - my Mum always used to keep an eye on the school to make sure no-one got up to mischief in the evenings. I remember Mr McCabe, in fact his daughter Anna was in school with me. Mr Morgan was the head of the juniors and Miss Richards head of the infants. I had a really good childhood in Speke and always felt safe. Most people took pride in their houses and had really nice gardens. I was really surprised to hear on the radio last year that it is among the most socially deprived places in the country.
