Subject: Speke pictures

My name is Tom Ryder and I am the creator and webmaster for the Speke website.

Just a reminder that I am always searching for photographs of Speke and surrounding districts. Any photographs that you send to me will be credited in your name to the Speke Website.

Plase don't send the actual photgraph because I cannot guarantee the return of same. Send your pics in "jpeg" format as attachements to your email. Any pictures I receive will be included in the website.

They don't have to be pictures of just Speke they can be wedding pictures, school pictures, army, airforce, navy pictures, family pictures. Pictures of outings and events.

If you belong to an organisation I can include all your up coming events on the Speke website...costs you nothing.

Remember also that you can have a free webpage on the site to include all your Speke memories. Simply write about your Speke memories and send it to me by email and I will create a full page for you. You can include any pictures that you want on your webpage also. Don't worry about spelling etc. because it will be proof read before being published on the website. So get writing and sending those pictures. Regards to all the people of Speke.

Have some photos of Oak View,Speke in the late fifties.Before I joined the Air Force.Have very fond memories of Speke,a well as the fights outside the "chippies"Alderwood avenue I think

Derek you can post your pictures and comments at the bottom of the index page to the website. Just click inside the box and away you go.

Hi all, I lived in central avenue then moved to Stapleton Avenue about 1956. I went to St Christopher,s and All Hallows until I left in 1959. I was friends with Eileen Byrne and Mary Taylor,I wonder if anyone knows anything about them. I remember sister Peter and sister Monica very well.

Living In Devon now and talking with friends discovering connections from back in 1962 my friends mum (Mrs Stratton) taught at Speke comp for approx 2 years. Our family name is carney and my Mum was the district Midwife at 72 Western Avenue. Did anyone know Mrs Stratton?
