If you mean that place located near to Hunts Cross,I remember it well.It was located near to a railway line,is this the same place you mentioned ?

I remember having to go to Banks Rd school in the 3rd year of Stockdon wood because of lack of space, we used to fight all the time with the garston kids. We had a bus to take us there an a driver named Tommy who used to make the bus 'Rock & Roll" to our delight, talk about health and safety!
We went on school camp to Colamendy Wales, its all coming back now reading your column all the best from Ron in sunny Queensland
