Subject: Some people just ask for it.

So Josh and I were discussing stuff when I told him how easy it would be to rip off Newegg.com. For example...I order all my stuff for my computer, and of course I didn't get my CPU. So I call them up and say..."yo! what up? where's my CPU?" So they send me another one. Fine...they should...they screwed me over to begin with. But then, upon closer inspection through the packing peanuts...I find that I did indeed get my first CPU. So now I have two of them.
Being the good samaratian that I am, I call up Newegg and tell them what happened. They send me an email saying "this is how you fix it and send it to." Be sure to print out the email and include it in the package to Newegg.
The email has a section that says 'special instructions" Underneath that is says, "do not refund....and then it explains the situation." So....if I wanted to...I could resend that email as an attachment..but change the words at the bottom to "refund fully." I could make a quick 200 dollars. And they'd think I was a good samaratian all the while.
THen Josh told me about his fraudulent activities...good times.
What's your best fraud story?
TK

P.S. I didn't actually fraud NEWEGG, but I could.

How about that time that Grant received that back pay check from Welcome Stores, and instead of giving him $0.09 an hour they gave him $9.00 and his check was like a thousand some dollars and he cashed it and we all hit the town? That was awesome.

Mike.

Well, this isn't a fraud story, but I figured if Mike was telling something on me, I might as well tell something on him. I remember this one time when Mike painted his nails black and thought it was really cool until I mentioned that he reminded me of Nick Farrier. good times.

What the crap does that have to do with fraud?! That was a confusing time for me, something I'd like to put behind me. A cheap shot at best, Grant. (I don't really think you're a bastard though and I am sorry if I'm not supposed to use that word on the forum.)

Love,

Mike.

I'm sorry Mike, but it was the first thing I thought of when I read Tim's caption "Some people just ask for it". I just liked our time that we had together, and I'm going through withdrawls, so I have to pick on you. But seriously, you've got to do something about that. I got you a birthday present and I haven't seen you since. That was back in August. that's bad. very very bad. :(

May your days of tears be filled with joy,
~Grant.

Yeah, I miss you too Grant. There's a chance I'll be coming back home next weekend. I'll for sure be back over Thanksgiving (24th - 28th). We should definately get together then.

Love,

Mike.

hey that's great. I'm not sure if I'm going to be home this weekend or not, but it's about the same distance from my house to yours and my dorm to your house. So maybe we can still do something. let me know. Over Thanksgiving we should plan something ahead of time so that we can do something, because normally it doesn't happen if it isn't planned, and sometimes even when it was (your birthday). but do some planning, and I'll try to make it. we have the thursday and friday off of that week, so it's only a four day weekend, but we should do something with everyone. See Ya Later Bye.

~Grant.

[> Or there was that other time.... -- Mike Cypull, 09:50:50 10/29/04 Fri

I remember when I went to the Magic Club here at Steven's Point a few weeks ago and traded this one kid a Thorn Elemental (or some equally trashy card) for his Underworld Dreams, holy crap that was both awesome and hilarious.

My love,

Mike.

[> One time I... -- Marty, 14:33:27 10/29/04 Fri

One time I sold powdered sugar to a heroine addict. Scored a cool ten g's off that one. I know it's terrible, but he totally deserved it. I mean, he didn't even test the stuff first. In the long run, I think powdered sugar is better to inject in your veins as opposed to heroine. Powdered sugar just gives you a sugar high, whereas heroine gives you that kind of euphoria of endorphins that your brain only creates to hide the fact that you're in intense pain. To quote Ralph Wiggum, "Dying tickles!"
