I forgot to answer your questions about the Splitter gun
here is a checklist
1.) Shields. Get all of them...and when you have them...let the guys gather around you...and just before the sheild dies....fire a bunch of times into the grouping and clear them out. After 300,000 that's not an option.
2.) With the splitter gun you NEED Regeneration and Greater Regeneration
3.) With the splitter do NOT get "Barrel Greaser" until it is your last choice.
4.) The reflex booster is important...it allows you to dodge the bullets.
5.) When you get the spiders that die and turn into two more spiders...you would do well to try killing them iwth fire bullets or a nuke...you're splitter gun will create too many bullets to dodge.
