Subject: I'm posting a poem because Steve would never put this on his web page.

Hey, this format is definitely different. It's numbered...but here it out.

1.) The stagnant pond brought back bitter feelings of a father rereading his dead son’s draft letter.
2.) The man, 21 years young is going to marry a woman who will never love him in return.
3.) He rereads his draft letter. The smell of the pond is stagnant. The draft letter gives him a paper cut, but not a cut to his hand, but to his heart. The tearing of the letter was lost to croaking of frogs. He could taste the stagnation of the air.
4.) It hurt his heart to read the letter.
5.) Stanley Cooper was at Cass Lake Resort.
6.) The man is NOT going to marry the woman who will never love him in return.
7.) The pond contains no fish.
8.) The algae looked like floating boogers picked from the nose of a giant.
9.) Because Stanley tore his draft letter, St. Francis High School will win their next tennis match.
10.) He’s going to crawdad up on them there en’my soldiers.
11.) The stagnant pond of death
12.) The tearing of his heart brought about an unspeakable joy.
13.) Stanley turned into a fish.
14.) TK saw Stanley turn into a fish.
15.) Stanley will cease to live as a fish.
16.) The intelligent pond.
17.) The pond is an active entity.
18.) Es tut mir leid.
19.) The pond looks upon the torn draft letter.
20.) The stagnant pond, with a torn draft letter littered upon its banks, contains no fish.

Sorry for the foolish typo in the first sentence.

I'm always up for the far-out, and I really liked your poem, I took "the pond" as kinda a metaphor for society, like being sucked into the stagnant whole or something, but maybe I didn't get it right, if not, please explain a little. Cool poem though. Thumbs Up.

Sure...the pond could represent society...but to tell you the truth, it was just some activity we did for class...so I just came up with it...there really isn't any meaning...but I really like it, because I think it ties together really well. Sorry...I hope my honesty about my poem doesn't ruin its coolness.

It doesn't ruin it, and I assume that since you replied so quickly that you are probably online right now, perhaps I should dust off the ol' AIM.

Mike.

Suck,
I'm sure I missed you. I went on my local C-Dub with Emily...so sorry about that.
Well, maybe you'll dust it off in the near future.
Time to get cracking at Greek.
Ciao
