Thanks to those who submitted questions to the committee. We met this past Thursday to compile questions and to set up the ground rules for the forum.

As of this morning, Saturday, April 24, 2004, I have had confirmation from all three selectmen candidates saying they will attend. However, I still have not heard from the school committee candidates. This past week I left a phone or email message with each of them asking if they plan on attending or not (I’m assuming all received the invitation in the mail since none were returned to me).

I have every confidence that the school committee members will attend, as it’s the perfect way to get their message out to voters. Maybe they’ve been so busy campaigning that RSVPing has slipped their minds.

The committee hopes the voters of Dracut find this to be a great way to learn about the candidates. The general public is invited to attend so please drop by the Community Room at the Lakeview Junior High School on Thursday night.

Karen
