Dennis:
Thank you, once again for answering me with honesty and respect. It is greatly appreciated.
As a parent, I question decisions that impact our children. We all know the past issues in Dracut when Dr. D. was in charge of our school system. It wasn't pretty. I had three relatives graduate from DHS, 2 of which graduated fully illiterate. Although I don't believe that a fault, entirely attributed to the school system itself I do believe it wouldn't have happened in the school system we have implemented today.
This decision is a bad one. The parents all know it, the school itself knows it, and the kids will become aware of it as well. You can't take a VP out of a school with 600+ students, leaving the burden on one principal and the other staff members, without creating a major impact on the school itself.
I thank you, once again for your respectful response. I am sure this issue will be in the hands of the parents shortly--and sadly, our town will be back in the news as well because of it.
