Subject: Sometimes I have a great notion

 to do something with this second life. Well I didn't go to the Mentor's Retreat and it seems like everybody else in the world almost went and are now jumping through all the hoops I disdained so easily last week. And facing the terrors that sent me scurrying for my mother's skirts.

But I'm OK with all that, that's not really bothering me. I don't have that thing anymore where I'm afraid everyone else will pass me up and get there first. Now that's amazing!

In fact, it's interesting to notice, especially in the light of what I said somewhere down below about this process taking a long long time, that there are a lot of quantum changes that HAVE happened. Another BIG change is that I am no longer a terrified little girl looking to glomp onto someone to make everything OK. I KNOW everything's not OK. And I'm OK with it. Well sometimes it's scary, but all in all I am living it. I can carry the scare and not be paralyzed by it or so overwhelmed by it that I have to go hide in a closet somewhere.

Yes, I think change is happening here in spite of my not particularly noticing it. Now, if I could only figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
