I do feel bad for Eric and Tim. But then again I don't think it was so much people not wanting to show up and support them and race in general. I think the holiday weekend is a hard thing to beat. You single people have no clue how hard it is to convince a wife and kids to head back from a fun filled weekend at the lake, creek, campsite, etc for a need to fulfill an addiction. Us married people already fight enough with the significant others to get our training time in during the week to start asking for big weekends like memorial, labor and 4th to be cut short by a race. So again - I do hope Tim and Eric at least made some of the money back (as I'm sure not all), but just a bit more thought into the planning of the next one, especially considering probably close to 1/2 of your audience are married with kids. And when you think that if you're not even in consideration for the money, you don't have the drive that a TK or Sam do to show up on an already difficult weekend.
