God is actually the only reality which you do not have to go out to look for. He comes to you when the time is right and sends forth messengers to either prepare your heart to receive the Truth or to bring you in. Your will is your own, however, God loves us in such a way that He likes to make His Presence known in various times. Everyone gets a chance to hear the Gospel at some point in their life.
